What does being grounded mean to you?

Posted on Jul 7th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
What does being grounded mean to you?  How do you get there?  How do you know when you are not grounded?  What does it feel like when you are?  Why is there a need for being grounded?  If you do not think one needs to be grounded why not?

What creates leaders, followers, and those that are neither?

Posted on Jul 8th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
There are those that lead.  There are those called experts.  There are those that follow.  These follow for many reasons, sometimes because the way feels good to them, sometimes because they have been taught that a person must be educated and an expert so they ignore themselves and search for signs of what another tells them is right and proper.  There are those who simply do what feels right to them.  Sometimes in doing what feels right a person bumps up against a teaching or a way of behaving that is similar, synchronistic, other times not.

What about the very very poor that have nothing?  If one must have a teacher, how does one value their teaching and assess their abilities other than to just take their word for it and be a sheep?  Please share your ideas and experiences with this.

Posted on Jul 10th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
well darn it all, the title was too long :D

The question of the day that I thought of today as I noted many moments of gratitude here is:

What is the first experience of the day that you relish/cherish/ have joy in/ or are most grateful for??

The sun nudged me awake from under the edges of the blind.  The dinglies jingled in the breeze under my window.  A wonderful stretch this morning and the smell of white tea with raspberry mmm...

How do you feel about divine union?

Posted on Jul 12th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
Personally I can have a conflict with the way people understand Rumi and others like him.  To many, it is very sexual.  How do you feel about it?  What causes a person to feel one way or another about the words used to describe such union?

If people carry along with them a manufactured idea of how a person should be, so much so that they are in love with that idea and with fullfilling that imagination...what do they miss?
Do they gain anything?

What if no one thought up a question of the day?

Posted on Jul 15th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
lol
I'm tired this morning.  Nice comfy woozie feeling. mmm

And then, I had a thought.  What if no one directed any of us?  What if no one used a question to herd and to lead our thoughts??

So, the exercise for today is, to share a question or a thought with me.  Free write, random, have fun.  UHmmm did I just tell people to free write?? hehehe this might be interesting.

What feels good to you today?  What have you or will you do about it?  When answering this question try to think about the feels good to the internal, though sometimes 'the juice' that induces the feeling does initiate from the external.

Walking naked at my tree place in the morning light brushing the plants that soar over my head wearing dew jewels that run down my skin when I touch them....and I am going there in a little while after black tea with cinnamon mmmmm...

How do we form ideas about good and evil...

Posted on Jul 17th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
How do we form ideas about good and evil?  Where do they come from?  Are they valid in the entire world or only within oneself?  Can they be proven?  Better yet, can they be disproven!!!  Can any qualitative measure be "real"?  What about some qualitative measures?

OOOOOOOo Elisa has a brain and can talk about something other than PEE!!! lol

The Watching Ants and Bees Question of the Day

Posted on Jul 22nd, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
When one watches ants in an ant living thingie, see I am so technical--I think it's called an ant hill, one can think many things.  The same with a beehive--I know what those are called!!

Are they really just drones?  And poor them.  Some have thoughts of liberating them.  Some have thoughts that the only thing that separates humans from them and many other living creatures that function like them is our capacity and freedom to decide for ourselves.  Bugs cannot think.  HA

Do humans really think? Or do we just create a wonderful fantasy to explain how we are 'getting' things.  We cover our lust and desire to get out of our misery with the words manifestation and other words like it.  We, like Little Big O suggested, create a new story to cover up our pits.  Bugs just do, and clean up after themselves very efficiently.  Who cleans up after us?  Oh yes!!  I remember now!!!  The dreamers, the creative, the enlightened!! All with a new movie screen to watch!!  Very interesting.

NOW WHO HAS THOUGHTS!!!! YAY THOUGHTS!!

What value has a Think-Tank?

Posted on Jul 24th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
Does a Think-Tank have any value?  Is the value of the thinkers anyplace but in their minds?  When creating hypothetical solutions to issues that are difficult because no one can find a way to change them, to have action taken, what value is the thinking if it includes what ifs and if onlys?

Randy Pausch has passed away and left much behind, see some here

Posted on Jul 25th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
Randy Pausch has passed away some of his story is here.  A friend of mine suggested I take a look at a lecture he did.  The lecture series was called: The Last Lecture.  It's a little long but so far he is funny and very interesting and has had many things of value to share  that I didn't expect.  Let's look at it together.  I hope it serves any who view it well.  And that those that need it find me and it.  Much love.  Enjoy

Physical concrete cues, how do you feel about them?

Posted on Jul 26th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
Cues, prompts, triggers--what valuation do you place on these concepts?  If you place a high value or reliance upon them, how do you retrain yourself to do what comes naturally when you are without them??

When you go to the sandbox to play...

Posted on Jul 29th, 2008 by elisa : Mirror elisa
When you go to the sandbox to play or the playground, what is your purpose and intent for going there?  I have been watching.  Someone will likely fall over from shock at me saying that huh?  A lot of people go to the playground to play.  Some go to the playground to show how big a cock they have and will use all sorts of maneuvers to make it appear larger than it is.  To me, that diminishes its actual size and well, wow the lack of good use of any sized member at this point for me turns me off.  Maybe this is the point, I wouldn't know.  I'm just watching.

Now, others go to the playground to sit timidly hoping to God someone plays like they do, so that they can stop shivering ready to pee their pants in case someone doesn't validate how they want to play.  Some don't get to that point, they remain silent and invisible or they leave the park.  Now, if genuinely play to them is simply watching YAY THEM!!  For the ones that cannot play, well, I hope they figure it out.

OOOOOOOOOOO and what about those that create a sandbox or a playground wherever they go??  Do you have any beliefs or feeling about 'those' kind? :D
